Ironstrike Pellet Stoves
Ironstrike is a branded product line that came from the merger of Lennox Hearth Products and FMI by a private investment group that is now known as (IHP) Innovative Hearth Products. Lennox had bought Country Stoves, a family-owned and operated company from Auburn, WA, just outside Seattle. The company prides itself on Quality and Reliability, and the owner's son and daughter still work there under Lennox. Lennox eventually phased out their "Whitfield Collection" in favor of the "Country Collection." Whitfield was the original creator of pellet stoves, so this should tell you something about Country Stoves. The Ironstrike line now consists of 2 stoves, the Winslow and the Montage.
The Winslow PS40 is their top-of-the-line steel stove. The body of the stove consists of 1/4 and 3/16 mild carbon steel. The heat exchanger is made of 28.8 lbs. of heavy-duty welded steel. The stove is self-igniting just by pushing a button. They use Fasco blower motors, the best in the industry. The burn pot is cast iron, which ensures its extra-long life span. The burn pot is also self-cleaned once an hour; the combustion fan kicks up too high to blow out any clickers(uncombusted pellets). The stove has four safety switches, which lets you know if there is something wrong with the stove, such as a clogged airway extra. There is a telephone jack in the control board for easy diagnostics. For ease of operation, the control board only has one know that automatically adjusts the most efficient fan speed with your heart rate. So you can enjoy your flame with the least amount of maintenance, they have employed a unique air wash system. The Winslow offers four different trim options, along with an option for a fake log set and brick backing.
The Montage is a workhorse. It offers four different options for fronts which can match any decor. One unique design feature is that the glass is a reflective ceramic so that when the stove is not in operation, the glass reflects outward, and you can not see inside, once the fire lights up then, the glass becomes transparent. The Montage's Fastfire™ ignitor makes for an easy, quick startup. Their patented UltraGrate™ achieves nearly 100% combustion efficiency. The large hopper on such a compact stove allows for longer burn times before refills. Other unique features the stove offers are a fake log set and a remote control. The Montage can burn standard or premium-grade pellets. Both stoves are backed by the Good Housekeeping Seal.
